This weeks shared drum score was written for the great une Archie Beag. It’s a 4-parted jig that I though would go well with the hornpipe Gordon MacRaes Favourite in a competition Hornpipe Jig set. I recall hearing this tune a lot some time ago and for some reason I came to think of this jig for this context – maybe because it begins on the same note as the hornpipe ends.
